Torino forward Fabio Quagliarella believes that Torino fully deserved their narrow victory over Copenhagen.
The Granata beat the Danish side 1-0 in Group F of the Europa League and Quagliarella was pleased to score the last minute penalty that earned the three points.
“The most important thing was that we won and we deserved to do so,” Quagliarella told Mediaset after the match.
“I felt great joy when I scored the winning goal. Winning is so important as it gives everyone enthusiasm.
“During the first couple of games this season I wanted to laugh at the criticism.
“We did not created a lot but then slowly we have improved and created more opportunities.”
Quagliarella went on to talk about moving across Turin from Juventus to Torino.
“I had four wonderful years at Juve. But now I am a Torino player and I try to give satisfaction to the team and the fans.
“I have return to where I grew up in football and as a man, I am forever grateful to Torino.”
