Atalanta are reportedly considering replacing current boss Stefano Colantuono with veteran coach Edy Reja depending on the team’s progress in the coming weeks.

The Orobici currently sit in 16th place in the Serie A standings after securing a 1-1 draw at home against Napoli on Wednesday and it seems that the club may be prepared to dump Colantuono, who has been at the helm of La Dea since 2010, if he can’t lead the team to better results in the next few games starting with their upcoming match at Torino.

According to TuttoAtalanta.com, Atalanta may have their sights set on signing former Lazio boss Reja to take on the leading role at the club, though no contact has been made between the two parties yet.

The 69-year-old, who has coached a number of Italian teams in the past 30 years of his career, is also apparently seen as a favoured successor due to his very close relationship with Nerazzurri general manager Pierpaolo Marino.
