With him yet to make his Serie A debut with Roma, midfielder Salih Ucan could be set to leave the club in January with a loan move to Cagliari being suggested to provide the youngster greater first-team opportunities.

The 20-year-old Turkey international only moved to the capital in the summer, however, with his route into Rudi Garcia’s starting 11 blocked by the likes of Daniele De Rossi, Miralem Pjanic and Radja Nainggolan a short spell away should provide ample opportunities to gain some Serie A experience.

However, as Sportmediaset highlight, a potential difficulty of the Turkish midfielder’s departure is the condition of his transfer to the Giallorossi, with him currently on a two-year loan from Fenerbahce and expecting to at least be part of their plans this season.

As the loan is intended to continue for the 2015/16 campaign that may convince those at the club that they would then have enough time to assess Ucan before deciding with to activate the purchase clause of €11.7m.
