Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis is set to miss the Giallorossi’s top-of-the-table clash with Juventus in Serie A as he struggles to recover from a thigh injury.

The veteran shot-stopper was forced to sit out the midweek Champions League draw at Manchester City and was unable to train this morning at Trigoria meaning that he is unlikely to be able to start the game on Sunday.

Sky Sport Italia report that the 37-year-old is still feeling pain when he kicks the ball as a result of a right thigh issue he suffered during the 2-0 win against Hellas Verona last weekend.

23-year-old Lukasz Skorupski could deputise for De Sanctis at the Juventus Stadium should the first-choice goalkeeper not recover in time.

The Polish goalkeeper made his Serie A debut in the 1-0 loss to Juve in the penultimate game of last season.
