Rumours are circulating that during Roma’s crucial Champions League tie with Manchester City last month, Giallorossi officials may have approached the Premier League side regarding the availability of midfielder James Milner.
The 28-year-old has found a starting place increasingly hard to come by with the English champions and appears to be seeking assurances over his future chances before extending a contract, which expires at the end of the season.
However, while the Serie A club could wait until the end of the campaign to acquire the England international for free Tuttomercatoweb are reporting that the Giallorossi could offer around €8 million to take him to Rome in January.
The capital club have already brought in one Englishman to bolster their squad with Ashley Cole arriving this summer and Milner would add to the current wave of arrivals from the island.
