Roma are targeting a move for Liverpool fullback Glen Johnson, who looks set to leave the club with his contract expiring at season’s end.
The 30 year old English international is yet to agree a new deal with the club, and could be either sold in January or leave on a free at the end of the season.
According to SportItalia, Roma are willing to offer Johnson a salary of €3.5 million a season in order to entice him to the capital.
The player, however, has asked for a salary of €4.5m which the Giallorossi are not willing to pay.
A compromise may be reached between the player and the club however, and at the moment Johnson looks closer to moving to Roma than extending his stay at Liverpool.
