Roma will be without the services of defenders Davide Astori and Douglas Maicon on Saturday as the Giallorossi travel to the San Paolo to take on Napoli and fellow defender Kostas Manolas is at risk as well unless the Greek can pass a late fitness test.
Astori injured his left leg in Wednesday’s match against Cesena and Maicon continues to be bothered by a recurring knee ailment.
Sky Sport Italia report Roma coach Rudi Garcia is hopeful Manolas can heal from a knock to his left knee but if the 23-year old is unable to recover, Garcia will be forced to juggle his lineup and slot Daniele De Rossi across the back line.
Roma have recovered from their Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich and are currently level on points with Juventus while Napoli missed on the chance to claim sole possession of third place when Gonzalo Higuain missed a penalty kick in stoppage time against Atalanta and settled for a draw.
