Sampdoria are eyeing a move for Queens Park Rangers misfit winger Adel Taarabt in January.

The 25 year old Moroccan international spent last season on loan at AC Milan, but was unable to secure a permanent move to the Rossoneri despite the midfielder’s plea to remain in the peninsula.

Taarabt often speaks of his desire to make the move back to the Serie A, and Sampdoria could grant his wish when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Il Secolo XI report that Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero is ready to give coach Sinisa Mihajlovic a reward for his great start to the season by bringing in the talented winger on an initial loan.

The loan deal will include an option to purchase at the end of the season for around 5.5 million, but it is reported that the player has been offered out to Fiorentina as well.

Taarabt is starting to ease his way back into manager Harry Redknapp’s struggling outfit, and has made a few substitute appearances off the bench for QPR this season.
