Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo are reportedly keen on keeping Inter wing-back Alvaro Pereira beyond the 2014-15 season.

The Uruguayan is currently on loan, and president Carlos Miguel Aidar has revealed that a permanent transfer could be on the cards come season’s end.

“Much will depend on the economic aspects,” he told the Brazilian press.

“It’s one thing to acquire a player on loan, and another to buy him outright.

“But the club intends on keeping him [beyond this season] because he is a player who has won over the management as well as the fans.”

Now 28, Pereira joined the Tricolor following 33 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzurri between 2012 and 2014.
