Sassuolo striker Simone Zaza is reportedly being scouted by Spanish champions Atletico Madrid for a possible move in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the brightest talents in Serie A and is also slowly making his way into the national team, having opened his account for the Azzurri in a Euro 2016 qualifier match against Norway.

According to AS, Los Colchoneros sent scouts to Sassuolo’s game last week against Napoli to report on the young centre forward.

The Neroverdi only bought the entire rights of the player from Juventus for a fee of €7.5 million during the summer, adding to the  €2.5m they paid Sampdoria last year for half his rights.

Zaza, who has made five appearances for his club this season scoring two goals, will most likely feature in his club’s next league game against Lazio on Sunday.
