Dybala palermoPaulo Dybala’s impressive performances in Serie A have not gone unnoticed as Southampton have expressed an interest in acquiring the Argentine’s services.

The striker has scored twice so far in nine Serie A outings for the Sicilian outfit, Benfica have also been monitoring the player for some time.

Now, according to Mirror, Saints boss Ronald Koeman wants to sign the striker as early as the January transfer window to avoid competition from other suitors.

Likened to Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, Dybala was signed by the Rosanero after he broke multiple records in Argentine football previously held by the legendary Mario Kempes.

These included becoming the first to score two hat-tricks in a season and scoring in six consecutive games, surpassing Kempes’ record of four games.
