Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello has that his idol is former Italy international, the legendary Sebastiano Rossi, and that he currently looks up to Inter custodian Samir Handanovic.
The 22-year-old has also stated that Juventus star Paul Pogba is one of the best players in Serie A at the moment.
“When I was a kid I loved Sebastiano Rossi,” he said at the press conference during the presentation of the Panini collection.
“Today, I like Handanovic. When it comes to players, [Antonio] Di Natale has been one of the true greats of Italian football, but Pogba is one of the greats of our league right now.”
Following a year-long loan spell at Carpi in Serie B, Sportiello has started each of La Dea’s matches in Serie A so far this season.
