GarganoNapoli midfielder Walter Gargano has had successful surgery on his cheekbone but is likely to miss four weeks.

The surgery was performed by Professor Giampaolo Tartarus and Dr. Mario Sant’Agata at the Clinica Pineta Grande in Castel Volturno. Both doctors were assisted by Dr. Vincenzo Schiavone, anesthesiologist, and Dr. Mimmo Falco.

A statement on Napoli’s official website indicated that the fracture in Gargano’s right cheekbone was reduced and fixed with plates and screws.

The Uruguayan will be able to resume training on Monday but has to avoid physical contact for four weeks.
