Sassuolo midfielder Saphir Taider says his side picked up three vital points after they beat Parma 3-1 at the Stadio Tardini on Saturday evening in Serie A.

Two first half goals from Sergio Floccari and Francesco Acerbi was added to early in the second half by Taider to give the Neroverdi victory over their near rivals who did pull a late consolation goal back through Antonio Cassano.

“We came here to win and we did, we prepared well during the week for this game and it worked today,” the on-loan midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.

“Today we got the three points but the season is long and we have to continue like this.

“We have Empoli next and it’s a very important game as they are in a similar position as ourselves.

“I was happy with my goal today, I hit one like that a year ago against Bologna.”
