Inter owner Erick Thohir has admitted he is amazed at the resignation of honorary life president Massimo Moratti, ending his 19 year association with the club.
Moratti, 69, was given the title of honorary life president by Thohir last November following his acquisition of the Nerazzurri from Moratti but he has severed all his ties with the club today and it caught the Indonesian tycoon by surprise.
“I’m amazed,” was all Thohir had to say on the subject to Sportmediaset.
Thohir is probably more concerned with his side’s potentially tricky Europa League tie against Saint Etienne at the San Siro this evening as they seek to add to their six points in Group F.
