Inter president Erick Thohir has reiterated that his relationship with Massimo Moratti is still strong despite the Italian’s recent departure from the club.
Moratti, who was the club’s owner before selling to Thohir last year, had been with Inter for nearly two decades before announcing his resignation on Thursday.
“I heard about the resignation of Moratti and we have spoken. This does not change the relationship between the two families,” he states as reported by Sportmediaset.
“I am the president of the club and I have a duty to do what is best for Inter.”
Along with being the majority owner of Inter, Thohir is also the majority owner of D.C. United and Indonesian club Persib Bandung.
