English Premier League club Tottenham have made Cagliari midfield star Albin Ekdal one of their main targets heading into the upcoming January transfer window.
The 25-year-old Swedish international has been in superb form for Zdenek Zeman’s side this campaign, including scoring a hat-trick in the 4–1 mauling of Inter at the San Siro last month.
Sportsmediaset report that Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino is unhappy with his central midfield options, and would have targeted the ex-Juventus man to add some more quality to that department.
Ekdal recently spoke of being happy in Sardinia, and it would have to take a very big offer from Tottenham to convince Cagliari to sell one of their most valuable players.
