Roma midfielder Salih Ucan has revealed that he’s willing to do whatever coach Rudi Garcia asks of him in order to secure a place in the team’s already strengthened midfield.

The 20-year-old made his Serie A debut for the Giallorossi on Saturday in the final minutes of the club’s 3-0 win over Chievo after coming on as a substitute for Radja Nainggolan and he admits that he’s thankful for the opportunity, though he felt the game would end before he got his chance to step onto the pitch.

Ucan spoke to Roma TV about his league debut for Roma and his eagerness to impress coach Garcia, while also insisting that he’s ready to adapt to any position in the Lupi line up in order to help the team succeed.

“The ball never went out of play to let me enter? Yes, this is true,” said the Turkish youngster. “The coach had given me this chance but I had to wait so long on the sidelines and was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to enter.

“I would like to underline the power of our midfield, where we are all really strong. I am one of the youngest in the team and I have to give my maximum effort wherever the coach tells me to play.”
