Udinese’s Andrea Stramaccioni has hailed Giampiero Ventura’s influence on Torino ahead of their upcoming match on Sunday.

The former Inter coach, who took over at the Friuli-based club this summer, has started his first season in charge of the Zebrette off quite well as they are currently in fourth place with four wins, one loss, and one draw so far.

Despite the Granata’s struggles lately that leave them with just one win in six games, Stramaccioni still feels that they have plenty of quality to potentially cause trouble for his side.

“We have a lot of respect for Torino because we expect that they will start the match off strongly,” he stated in a pre-match press conference.

“A huge part of their added value is due to the efforts of their coach, [Giampiero] Ventura.”

The new Udinese coach also discussed fitness issues surrounding several of his key personnel, such as Ghanaian international Emmanuel Badu.

“Badu had to leave training and so we will have to evaluate him carefully as I don’t want to risk him. [Fabio] Quagliarella is a good player but all in all, Torino’s biggest strength is their organization as a team.

“Cesena? It’s a closed matter, but now we need to re-innovate football.”
