Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has hit out at Fiorentina over the treatment of Josip Ilicic, and confirmed plans to bring him back to the club.
The 26 year old Slovenian international midfielder made the move to the Viola from Palermo last season, but has struggled to consistently hold down a regular first team place.
“In Florence, they do not understand anything, he deserves more of a chance because he is able to change the game in an instant,” Zamparini told Radio Radio.
“I spoke with him and I told him that I will try hard to bring him back to Palermo.”
Ilicic has made five appearances so far this season for Fiorentina in the league, but has only started two of them.
