Cagliari coach, Zdenek Zeman has confirmed that he still has not determined his starting lineup for the Isolani’s match against Empoli on Saturday.

The 67 year old tactician is faced with several injuries that will force him to change his lineup, but mentioned that he is looking to his forwards to inspire his side to their second league victory of the season.

“The team looks balanced and is determined by our previous matches,” Zeman stated at his pre-match press conference.

“I can confirm the absence of [Daniele] Conti and [Luca] Ceppitelli.

“I had some doubts over their training, although I am against a high turnover of players if they are fit enough to play.”

He then turned his attention towards his strikers.

“[Victor] Ibarbo is a mixed blessing but hopefully he can learn to cross better.

“I’m satisfied with [Marco] Sau, and he should be an example to the rest of the team.”

Cagliari currently sit 17th in the standings, one place above the relegation zone, having taken five points from their opening seven matches.
