Juan Camilo Zuniga NapoliJuan Camilo Zuniga has an issue in his right knee which caused the Colombian to miss the trip to Bergamo and it looks as if Napoli may not have the player for two months.

The 28-year-old may need to go under an operation, if medical staff find a previous arthroscopic surgery did not clean up his right knee, as he was brought to Rome to be seen by a specialist, Professor Mariani.

“Camilo Zuniga today visited Prof. Mariani, accompanied by Dr. D’Andrea, at Villa Stuart. He was inspected after the injury to his right knee,” reads a statement on Napoli’s official website.

Should the player require further surgery, it is believed he will be out for around two months.

It is another set-back for the player, who had such a wonderful World Cup showing, though there are currently no plans for surgery as he will train separately as the club continues to observe the players fitness.

He missed much of last season with a similar injury, only garnering six appearances for the club.
