AC Milan are keeping tabs on Boca Juniors star Cesar Marcelo Meli ahead of the January transfer window.
The 22 year-old midfielder recently arrived from Colon and has already made 12 appearances, scoring once.
According to Sportmediaset, the Rossoneri have begun monitoring Meli in an effort the sign him in January.
Milan are examining their options for the defensive midfield position with Nigel de Jong’s contract set to expire.
Meli does not currently hold an EU passport which means he could occupy one of Milan’s two non-EU slots.
Boca Juniors are aware of Milan’s interest and are expected to discuss the player’s situation soon.
