AC Milan are keen to bring Chelsea’s Petr Cech to Serie A, but they will have to see off competition from Arsenal for the veteran shot stopper.

Despite being a key figure at Stamford Bridge for a decade, the 32-year-old has lost his position to Thibaut Courtois and has become increasingly frustrated with his lack of game time and he is not prepared to stay to warm the bench.

The Czech has been linked with a move to Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Arsenal and now, according to the Daily Star, The Rossoneri are prepared to challenge the Gunners and the good relations between the two sides could play a vital role as Milan already have two Chelsea players on loan; Fernando Torres and Marco van Ginkel.

Cech has enjoyed a stellar career with the Blues, winning no fewer than 13 pieces of silverware, including the Champions League and the Europa League and in 2014 he became Chelsea’s all time leader in clean sheets when he overtook club legend Peter Bonetti’s record of 208.
