Tickets for Sunday evening’s Derby della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter in Serie A have been completely sold out, meaning the attendance at the San Siro will be 79,173.

As the Second Green Ring in the San Siro will be reserved for Inter fans, who are classed as the away side in this fixture, Rossoneri season ticket holders who would usually be situated there had the opportunity to buy another ticket for any other stadium sector which may have contributed to the increased sales.

TuttoMercatoWeb.com report that the ticket sales have set a new box office record for a league game with revenue of €3,324,594 which surpasses the €3,233,620 generated from Milan’s game against Juventus in September.

The Nerazzurri sit in ninth place in the Serie A standings, one place and one point behind their city rivals and the game will be coach Roberto Mancini’s first in charge since returning to his former club.
