Juventus president Andrea Agnelli feels it’s time to forgive the club’s former general director Luciano Moggi.
Moggi was the man at the centre of the Calciopoli scandal which saw the Turin side stripped of their 2005 and 2006 Scudetti and relegated to Serie B with a nine point deduction.
”However you look at it, it is an important part of our history” Agnelli told Sky Sport Italia, ”We are the country of Catholicism and forgiveness and I think now is time to forgive.”
Moggi is currently serving a life ban from football along with a recommendation to the Italian Football Federation [FIGC] president that he be banned for life from membership of the FIGC at any level.
