Massimiliano Allegri Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke very highly of his two midfielders Paul Pogba and Roberto Pereyra, following his side’s 3–0 win over Lazio, but now wants continuity from them.

Pogba grabbed a brace for himself whilst Pereyra put in an impressive shift.

Allegri spoke after the game on how highly he rates Pogba and the different options Pereyra offers him in his new 4-3-1-2 formation.

“Pogba has the qualities to improve and become the best midfielder in the world,” Allegri said to Sky Sport Italia.

“Now his challenge is to show continuity and make such performances the norm.”

“Pereyra was a playmaker today; when we were in possession he was behind [Fernando] Llorente and Tevez.

“He has good technical skills for this role, has a good first-touch, and runs a lot to give us intensity.

“He had a great game today but he still needs to improve in terms of his shooting; a player like him should be aiming to score at least six or seven goals per season.”

Allegri has found great success with Juventus since doing away with Antonio Conte’s three-man back line and switching to his more favored 4-3-1-2. Since the switch, Juventus have scored 12 goals in their last three games.
