There were six arrests made last night after trouble flared following Roma’s 2-1 away win to Atalanta in Bergamo while in Rome, Lazio ultras had to be dispersed with tear gas after clashes with police following their 3-0 loss to Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico.

Several hundred ultras from Roma and Atalanta clashed and six arrests were made including two minors for public order offences as a police officer from Bergamo was injured in the scuffles.

While down in Rome, four police officers were slightly injured when up to 100 Lazio ultras wearing masks threw stones, bottles and paper bombs at police and had to be moved on using tear gas.

Investigations are now under way to identify the perpetrators of the trouble.

This comes in the wake of better news for the ultras ahead of Sunday night’s Milan derby when authorities agreed that drums and megaphones are legally allowed back in to the stadium for the first time since 2007.
