Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone apparently wants to hold on to Italian star winger Alessio Cerci who has been rumored to be leaving the Vicente Calderon Stadium when the January transfer window opens.
There have been many reports suggesting that Madrid have been looking to offload the winger in the upcoming transfer window, with teams such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Inter all ready to sign the 27-year-old.
According to AS, Simeone still has confidence in the winger who brings a unique style to the Rojiblancos and can still contribute a lot to Madrid for the rest of the 2014-2015 La Liga season.
Cerci has only made six appearances for Madrid this season in all competitions, all coming off the bench, and scored one goal in Madrid’s Champions League match against Malmo.
