Rafael Benitez NapoliRafael Benitez spoke after Napoli’s 3–3 draw with Cagliari on Sunday afternoon, and bemoaned his side’s mistakes in allowing Cagliari to get back into the game.

Napoli stormed to a 2–0 lead against Cagliari, and twice gave up the lead to allow the Rossoblu to rescue a point at the San Paolo.

Benitez spoke after the game on his side’s mistakes, considering that the loss in concentration and intensity from his players was culpable for letting the three points slip away.

“We had the game in our hands after it was 2–0,” Benitez said to Sky Sport Italia.

“We could have had more goals but we lowered the intensity afterwards and allowed them [Cagliari] back in at 2–1.

“They [Cagliari] always attack and wether it was at home or away, it is always difficult to maintain a lead.”

Napoli failed to notch their third successive win but managed to retain third place in Serie A after Sampdoria were held by Cesena.
