Leonardo Bonucci JuventusJuventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has stated that he is hungry to face Empoli after the Bianconeri’s first defeat of the season at Genoa.

Luca Antonini’s 90th minute goal caused a setback in the Old Lady’s camp, but the 27-year-old is determined to make amends on Saturday evening.

“The defeat against Genoa made it clear that football can be ruthless and cynical,” he told the Bianconeri’s official website.

“What we Juventus are today, these are the facts, and we need to keep this value of ours.

“Let this defeat be a lesson to us and we know that the match against Empoli will be a battle but I cannot wait for this game to kick-off.

“I’m hungry. Very hungry, but we need to be stronger. Until the end, Forza Juventus!”

Despite their midweek loss, Juventus sit on top of Serie A, albeit level on points with Rudi Garcia’s Roma.
