Shakhtar Donetsk’s forward Luiz Adriano is seen as a potential replacement to Roma’s Mattia Destro, who has been linked to a move away from the Stadio Olimpico.

Despite having five goals on his account this campaign, Destro is not coach Rudi Garcia’s first choice to lead the Giallorossi’s attack and that has given summer suitors Arsenal a reason to renew their interest in the Italian international.

TuttoMercatoWeb reports that Roma have not received any official bids for Destro, but are keeping a close eye on 27-year-old Adriano should Destro’s future lie away from the Italian capital.

Adriano has spent his entire senior career with the Ukrainian giants and has 104 goals in 223 appearances in all competitions for little over seven seasons spent at Donetsk.
