Italian World Cup winning captain Fabio Cannavaro is ready to go at his new adventure after being appointed as coach of Guangzhou Evergrande.
The 41-year-old succeeds a familiar face in Marcello Lippi who stepped down from his post after winning the Chinese Super League.
”I’m so happy to be here,” Cannavaro briefly stated on his official twitter page.
”I’m really proud to be the new coach of club.”
Lippi has moved upstairs after calling an end to his managerial career, with Cannavaro taking the role of executive head coach.
