Parma striker Antonio Cassano could be forced to leave the club, in the wake of financial issues which threaten the side.

The Crociati are facing a points deduction after failing to pay the wage bill on schedule, amounting to an estimated missing €20 million.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Serie A’s bottom side could be forced to let forward Cassano move on, in order to cut on their spending.

Reports also link both Sampdoria and Genoa to the 32-year-old, who is notorious for his bad off-field behaviour.

Parma have been in financial trouble before, most notably at the end of last season, where their historic European place was stripped from them due to tax infringements.

Cassano has 12 Serie A goals for Parma, after joining the in the summer transfer window of 2013.
