Atalanta played to a scoreless draw on Sunday afternoon against Empoli, employing extremely defensive tactics to earn a single point.

After the match, Atalanta sit 17th in the Serie A table, with many questions that need to be answered.

Atalanta manager Stefano Colantuono weighed in immediately following the final whistle on his side’s performance.

“From the one point of view, tactically and defensively, we earned this result,” Colantuono said in the post-match conference.

“But we need to improve in the offensive phase; If we want to win a championship, as in previous years, we have to go and score. I will have to focus on the technical side of it.

“But you have to win to get out of the bottom of the table. We must work frantically at our attack, and fix a few of the small problems we have.”

Next up for Atalanta will be Cesena, who lost 3–0 at home to Genoa today.
