Conte - ItalyAntonio Conte is set to meet coaches and organisers at all levels of Italian football in a bid to shape a positive future for the Azzurri.

The former Juventus tactician will meet with dignitaries from Serie A, Serie B as well as those at Lega Pro and Primavera level as he looks to implement a common goal of growth in the Italian game.

“I welcomed the words of [Juventus coach Massimiliano] Allegri and [Lazio coach Stefano] Pioli in their press conferences, because it was one of the issues that I had put on the agenda after these three intense months which we had six official matches, between [Euro 2016] qualifiers and friendlies,” Conte said in a statement released via the official FIGC website.

“I spoke with the FIGC as I look to start a series of technical meetings between myself and the coaches of Serie A, Serie B, Lega Pro, and the youth sectors at professional clubs, as well as the coaches in the national amateur leagues.

“It is important to have us all working together for a common goal; the growth of Italian football.

“In this regard we want to increase our international competitiveness and I think it is important to compare our training methods.”
