Daniele De Rossi is amongst the Roma players trying to excuse a visit to a strip club in Moscow that followed the Giallorossi’s draw with CSKA Moscow.

The late draw in the Russian capital disappointed fans, with anger growing after pictures emerged of the strip club visit in the early hours of the morning after.

However, vice-captain De Rossi has told Gazzetta dello Sport that he has done nothing wrong: “I wanted to just take a walk down to the Red Square, but then some of the other [Roma players] wanted to go there [to the strip club].”

The players left their hotel at 2am and got a taxi to the club, consoling themselves, although the trip did not include captain Francesco Totti.

The fans have accused the players of going to have fun while they suffered with the ignominy of a draw that left their Champions League qualification hopes teetering on the brink with one game to go.
