Inter defender Dodo has revealed that the Biscione players are doing everything that new coach Roberto Mancini asks of them and admits that representing the Milan side is a dream come true.

The 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at the Nerazzurri from Roma, has been steadily improving since his arrival to the San Siro outfit and has insisted that he’s working hard to adapt to the coach’s system while still continuing his growth as a player.

Dodo spoke to Inter Channel about his time in Milan thus far and the comparisons made between him and former Inter star Maicon, while also commenting on the club’s progress under Mancini.

“Wearing the Inter shirt gives you indescribable emotions because a child always dreams of playing at this level,” said the Brazilian.

“To be able to play at this level in the Inter shirt gives you incredible feelings. I enjoy it every time.

“I’m the heir to Maicon? It’s nice to hear that because I’m being compared to a great player and good friend. I can always improve tactically and defensively and if you work hard you can always do better.

“Mancini has been focused on the tactical work since his arrival, but everything is going well and we do as he says.

“My current position? I attack in a different way now, but I like it. I had been able to adapt well to the 3-5-2 before and now I get to go back to the role that I’ve usually had throughout my career.

“I think I’ll still be able to get to the other end of the pitch and send a cross in the same way as I’ve been able to this season.

“I work on everything, of course I have my weaknesses but I’m trying to improve and I can definitely do better.”
