CSKA Moscow attacker Alan Dzagoev believes his side should have taken three points and not one from Roma in their Champions League clash.

The Russian’s side equalised with seconds left to stun the Giallorossi who until then had looked comfortable but now must beat Manchester City in their final game at home to be absolutely sure of progression (among other permutations).

Dzagoev told NTV-Plus after the game: “Roma had a crowded midfield and it was difficult to break through the middle of the park.

“I think there were certainly moments when we deserved more out of the game but unfortunately we conceded a goal just before the half time break.”

He added: “In the second half, we were much better and we pushed on and really should have won the game.”

That goal, coupled with Sergio Aguero’s hat-trick in Manchester, means that the group is still very much open going into the final series of matches.
