There are eight Serie A clubs that currently meet the FIGC’s new squad regulations which are set to be implemented in 2016.

Each club in Italy’s top flight must have a maximum of 25 players but there is no limit on players under 21-years-old. There must be at least four Italian players on the roster and another four specifically from the club academy.

TuttoMercatoWeb has reported that Atalanta, Cagliari, Empoli, Genoa, Inter, Juventus, AC Milan and Roma meet the criteria based on the rosters seen on all the Serie A club websites.

Empoli have more players from their youth sector than anyone else with 12, and out of the teams that meet the criteria, Cagliari have the most Italians on their roster with 14.

Sassuolo have 22 Italians on their roster that have not come through their youth academy and only two players are from their youth teams so they do not meet the current criteria.
