Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi has said that CSKA Moscow deserved the draw against the Giallorossi on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League.

The Romans conceded a last-gasp equaliser against the Russian outfit at the Arena Khimki, and the Italian international has said that the Horses deserved the point.

“It’s a shame, but it was deserved,” he told Sky Sport. “In the second half we defended and failed to keep hold of the ball, we didn’t play with the same intensity like the first

“It hurts to concede with only 15 seconds remaining.”

Florenzi then went on to discuss playing at right-back on Tuesday evening, as well as discussing his side’s decisive game against Manchester City.

“I do what I’m told, and I think it worked quite well tonight.

“Manchester City? If we play like we did in the first game, we can qualify.”

Roma currently sit in 2nd in Group E, and a win against the Citizens would guarantee progression to the Round of 16.
