After Napoli’s 3-3 draw against Sardinian side Cagliari Sunday afternoon, Slovakian midfielder Marek Hamsik feels he and his teammates have disappointed the Partenopei faithful after giving up an early 2-0 lead.
The Azzurri went up early at the Stadio San Paolo against the Rossoblu, only to give up their lead twice after Cagliari and Brazilian striker Diego Farias scored a brace in the second half, tying the match each time and earning a point for his side.
“This result is very disappointing. The stadium was full for this match and we cannot leave our fans disappointed,” he said on Tuttonapoli.net.
“This, we cannot afford. We conceded goals because of our mistakes and if we want to aim for the top positions, we cannot lose points like that.”
