Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic has said that his side’s victory on Thursday night against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk was tough.

The Nerazzurri defeated the Ukrainians 2-1 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the UEFA Europa League, and the former Udinese goalkeeper has said that the victory was tough.

“The victory was extremely tough,” he told Mediaset Premium. “We have to admit that.

“However, the spirit in the squad is good.

“The game plan is not the issue with the errors, it’s more psychological.”

Handanovic then went on to speak about his penalty save to deny Yevhen Konoplyanka in the first half, in what is his sixth penalty save this season, as well as discussing renewing his contract with Inter.

“That’s my job,” he said. “I try to commit as few mistakes as possible.

“Renewal? My agent is responsible for that, and I’ll see what he thinks.”

Inter currently top Group F with 11 points from five games, thus guaranteeing progression to the Round of 16.
