Palermo coach Giuseppe Iachini is looking for his side to continue their positive run from before the international break as they prepare for their away match against Genoa on Monday.

The Rosanero are unbeaten in their last three league matches, though the 50-year-old is aware of the challenge the fifth place Grifone will pose.

“For me it is a match like all the others,” he stated at his pre-match press conference.

“Genoa are a great side lead by a good coach. The best Palermo will be needed. I have never had a problem with the Rossoblu, I have only ever looked to do my job well,” the former Sampdoria coach stated about his former city rivals.

“I expect more signs of growth from my side. We are working on more tactics as it is key to be able to adapt.

“The use of [Enzo] Maresca is a solution that could become useful, just like that of [Luca] Rigoni.

“Contract renewals? The club are moving in order to resolve each situation in the best way possible.

“There is the desire to confirm the players and in this sense they aren’t overlooking anyone. Everyone must feel part of this project and this is positive.”
