Iachini: Palermo victory over AC Milan is reward for hard work

giuseppe iachini palermoGiuseppe Iachini has asserted that his side fully deserved their three points after an excellent display saw Palermo beat AC Milan 2-0 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday evening.

Both of Palermo’s goals came in the first 45 minutes, the first courtesy of a Cristian Zapata own goal, while the second was an impressive solo effort from by Paulo Dybala.

“We must always believe in our football and the work we do” Iachini told Sky Sport Italia after the game.

“Tonight we played a great game, against a great team. We played with intensity and aggression, personality which deserved success. This victory is a reward for us after not reaping our rewards in previous games, and for the club and the fans.”

“Paulo [Dybala] is a player who trains with humility and plays with great personality. He has all the credentials and potential, to one day, play for a great team.”

The win is Palermo’s second consecutive victory and see’s them move up to 13th in the table
