Mauro Icardi has defended his coach’s decisions and hit back at fans following Inter’s 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona at the Stadio Meazza on Sunday.
The Nerazzurri conceded an equalizing goal from Nico Lopez in the final minutes and were forced to share points with the visitors, fuelling continued jeers from the home supporters.
“Mazzarri asked me how badly I was hurt because I asked for a change, I do not understand the whistles,” Sky Sport Italia.
The Argentine also spoke about why he gave the ‘finger on the mouth’ celebration after his equalizing goal.
“Things do not go as we hope, but at home we have to have the fans on our side,” he continued. “Here it seems like we are playing in another stadium. If people want to whistle we have to accept it, but it bothers me.”
