Inter duo Hernanes and Yuto Nagatomo are major doubts for the game with Roma this weekend, but it has been revealed that their injuries are not as bad as first feared.

Both players had to be replaced during Thursday night’s 2-1 victory over Dnipro in the Europa League at the San Siro, but scans have shown that both players look set to avoid a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Corriere dello Sport claims that Inter are likely to be without Hernanes for the match at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night against Roma, while Nagatomo is a serious doubt.

The Brazilian midfielder had an ultrasound scan on Friday morning that has shown he has not picked up a fresh adductor injury similar to that which kept him out earlier in the season, but he will still miss Sunday’s game.

Nagatomo suffered a dislocated shoulder in Thursday’s game, but an X-ray on Friday has shown that the shoulder was put back in place successfully in the dressing room after his substitution, however he remains a doubt for the trip to Roma.
