Inter defeated Ukrainian side Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk on Thursday night at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the UEFA Europa League.

Dnipro took the lead early on through Ruslan Rotan, before two goals from Zdravko Kuzmanovic and Pablo Osvaldo completed the comeback.

The Ukrainians started the game off really well, as they took the lead through Ruslan Rotan to give his side a surprise lead at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

More misery soon mounted on Roberto Mancini’s men when Dnipro were awarded a penalty, however Yevhen Konoplyanka saw his penalty saved by the ever-present Samir Handanovic.

The Nerazzurri upped their game minutes after the penalty save, making it 1-1 through Zdravko Kuzmanovic’s strike which found the bottom corner.

Yuto Nagatomo could’ve made it 2-1 when he went through on goal, only to fluff his shot wide.

Early on in the second half, Inter were reduced to 10 men when captain Andrea Ranocchia was dismissed for receiving his second booking of the game.

However, the Nerazzurri were able to turn things around minutes later when substitute Pablo Osvaldo was put through on goal to guide his finish into the net.

Handanovic came to Inter’s rescue once more, when he miraculously denied Nikola Kalinic, before the Croatian’s second attempt was cleared off the line.

Fredy Guarin came close to making it 3-1 six minutes later, only to see his header go over the bar.

Kalinic forced Handanovic into making a save soon after with an audacious acrobatic attempt which was handled by the Slovenian.

Rotan came agonisngly close to equalising for the Warriors of light, but his free-kick went inches wide of Handanovic’s far post.

Konoplyanka could’ve made it 2-2 with only four minutes remaining, but his attempt was duly saved by Handanovic.

The Ukranian international was once again at the centre of trouble when he whipped in a cross to the unmarked Yevhen Seleznyov who managed to guide his header into the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Il Biscione continue to top Group F with 11 points from five games, thus guaranteeing their progression to the Round of 32.
