Inter have reportedly contacted goalkeeper Samir Handanovic to begin negotiations for a contract renewal.

The 30-year-old, whose current deal with the Nerazzurri is set to expire in June 2016, has been the Milan side’s first choice keeper since his arrival from Udinese in 2012 and it seems like the San Siro outfit will be looking to continue their relationship with him for several more years now.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter have already arranged meetings with the Slovenian international’s representatives and are expected to offer him a contract extension in the coming weeks, though exact details of the new deal are yet to be confirmed.

The former Zebrette man has managed to secure five clean sheets in his 12 Serie A appearances this season thus far, but has also conceded 15 goals as the Biscione currently sit in ninth place in the league standings with 17 points.

Inter’s next Serie A match will be away against Roma on November 30.
