Roberto Mancini has identified Sampdoria’s in-form striker Stefano Okaka as a potential January reinforcement.

The 25-year-old has begun the current Serie A season in good form and even earned his first international cap on Tuesday against Albania.

According to FC Inter News, Mancini has been keen on signing Okaka since his brief tenure at Galatasaray last season, but also states that any move for the Samp forward will be tricky as the striker is under contract until June 2016.

FC Inter News also state that the Nerazzurri are facing competition from several sides, including city-rivals AC Milan.

Despite being only 25, Okaka has already played for no fewer than eight different sides with the majority of those sides representing loan spells away from his first club Roma.
